Free site scan

See what's wrong with your website.

Webvigor is a small consultancy. We score your homepage across six categories — technical SEO, AI search visibility, performance, content, security, conversion — and email you the report in about fifteen minutes. No card.

  • Six categories scored on the same rubric as paid audits
  • Your primary issue identified, with what it means for your business
  • Polite crawler — no deep scrape, no probes
  • We never share your email or audit URL

Our crawler is polite — it identifies itself, respects your server with rate limits, and never probes beyond what any visitor can see. Full detail is in our privacy policy.

Domain or full URL — we'll add https:// for you. The free scan covers the homepage only.

We'll send your verification link here, and the report URL when the scan finishes.

Audits in the UK run from the webvigor.co.uk surface.

What we check

Six categories — and why each one matters to the business.

Every finding in the report is explained in plain English: what it means, how it hurts you, and what you gain by fixing it. Open an example under any category to see exactly how that reads.

Speed & performance

We look at how quickly your site loads and responds on a normal phone — the thing that decides whether an impatient visitor waits or leaves.

Example: Pages that are slow to appear

What this means. When someone opens the site, the main content takes several seconds to appear — longer than the threshold search engines treat as acceptable.

How it hurts you. Every extra second of waiting loses visitors before they've seen anything at all, and search engines rank slower sites lower — so the site attracts fewer visitors and keeps fewer of them.

What you gain by fixing it. A fast-appearing page keeps visitors on it, feels professional, and earns a genuine boost in search rankings. Speed helps every other part of the site at once.

Security & privacy

We look at whether your site keeps visitors' connections private and is set up to resist the most common online attacks.

Example: An unencrypted version of the site still answering

What this means. The site has a secure, encrypted version — but the old unencrypted address still answers on its own instead of forwarding visitors to the secure one.

How it hurts you. Anyone who lands on the old address gets an unprotected connection, and their browser may show "Not secure" right next to your business name. Anything typed there can be read by others on the same network.

What you gain by fixing it. Forcing the secure version everywhere means the padlock shows on every visit, forms are always protected, and search engines see the single secure site they prefer to rank.

Search visibility

We look at how easily search engines like Google can find every page, understand what each one is about, and show it to people searching for what you offer.

Example: Search listings without a written description

What this means. The short paragraph shown under your listing in search results can be written by you. Where it isn't, the search engine improvises one from fragments of the page.

How it hurts you. Improvised descriptions are usually clumsy — a menu fragment or half a sentence — so fewer searchers click your result even when it ranks well, and those clicks go to the listings around yours.

What you gain by fixing it. A well-written description is a free advert shown to people already searching for what you sell. Written well, it wins clicks from the results above and below yours.

AI-assistant visibility

We look at whether AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI answers — can reach your site, read it, and understand it well enough to mention or recommend you when someone asks.

Example: AI assistants turned away at the door

What this means. The site's visiting-rules file currently turns away the automated readers that AI assistants use to learn about businesses. Often this arrives by accident, inside a copied template.

How it hurts you. The business simply doesn't exist in answers from AI assistants — a fast-growing way customers now find and choose services.

What you gain by fixing it. If the block wasn't a deliberate choice, removing it is one line — and the business becomes visible in a discovery channel most competitors haven't thought about yet.

Turning visitors into customers

We look at how easily someone on a phone understands what you do and can take the next step — call, book, buy or enquire — without friction.

Example: No clear next-step button

What this means. The main action the site wants a visitor to take — get in touch, book, buy — isn't presented as one clear, immediately visible button.

How it hurts you. A large share of visitors never scroll. If the action isn't obvious at first glance, for those visitors it doesn't exist — and interested people leave without doing anything.

What you gain by fixing it. One clear button in immediate view gives every visitor an obvious next step. More of the people the site already attracts do the thing it exists for.

Accessibility

We look at whether people with disabilities can use your site — including those who navigate by keyboard or rely on software that reads pages aloud.

Example: Images without descriptions

What this means. Behind the scenes, each image can carry a one-line description. Screen-reading software for blind and low-vision visitors depends on these, and many of the site's images don't have one yet.

How it hurts you. Visitors using screen readers hear silence where the pictures are — and if images carry key information, those visitors are locked out of it entirely. Search engines also read these descriptions, so absent ones waste search value too.

What you gain by fixing it. One line per image opens the site to assistive technology and gives search engines extra context — a rare fix that serves inclusion and rankings at the same time.
